James C. Knapp, Managing Director: Mr. Knapp, is a two time U.S. Presidential appointee. He served as a technology representative on the National Security Forum in 1989 and as a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business in 1995.
Together with his wife Judy, they built the first off-grid home in the Cayman Islands in 2008 to protect themselves from power outages after Hurricane Ivan ravaged Cayman in 2004. This home has been visited by thousands of guests wanting to see if and how it worked. The home was the catalyst for starting Endless Energy (Cayman) Limited which is the now the largest renewable energy company in Cayman.
He began his technology education at the age of 15 in a special program sponsored by IBM, and served in the United States Air Force as a teacher for computer guidance systems. He earned a BA in Physics and a BBA Degree from the University of Maryland in 1972 and attended The Wharton School in 1988 for Advanced Management Studies.
Mr. Knapp has been a featured speaker at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Harvard Business School. He has traveled to over 100 countries as an international speaker, consulting on the benefits of digital imaging and corporate uses of the Internet for IBM.
Katrina McTaggart: General Manager & Corporate Secretary: Ms. McTaggart "Kat" coordinates all business tasks such as legal contracting and licensing, purchasing, installation planning, problem and incident management, contractor training, vacation schedules, payroll, records control, travel and other activities.
She interprets, implements and enforces business operating policies and procedures; exercises independent judgement in resolution of business problems; and, participates in the development of budgets and ad-hoc reports as required.
Prior to joining EECL, she held administrative management, purchasing management and sales positions with Abbott Laboratories and Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited. She has a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Florida.
