Developed by The NCB Group, the CTC will be the largest “off-grid” solar system in the country. Its 1476 solar panels will provide all of the energy needed to power the 4 building campus. This system is a first in Cayman to utilize a commercial grade energy storage system capable of being charged by the sunshine and then smoothing the transitions between daytime operations, cloudy weather and night time operations.
This 100kW solar project was commissioned as the largest solar system in the Cayman Islands in January 2014. This 528 panel solar car park provides cover for the employee and customer vehicles and will provide guaranteed power for the next 25 years and longer.
This simple off grid system is powered completely by solar power. The Camana Bay roundabout LED lighting is illuminated whenever it’s dark outside. Three solar panels and six batteries are all that is necessary to keep Cayman’s newest community roundabout well lit for years to come.
The permanent home of the Cayman Islands Farmer’s Market at Camana Bay features a shaded sidewalk solar canopy to provide the merchants and customers a reprieve from the midday sun while they show their wares. The system will also provide clean, free energy for years to come.
